A.)  NEW DRIVER INSTALLATION 
    -----------------------

NOTE:	After the initial installation of the Driver (instructions below),
	please install the Configuration Utility from the original CD
	that came with the device.  For information on installation and
	utilization your Configuration Utility, refer to the "Configuring 
	the Network PC Card" section of your User Guide.


1.  Windows 95 & 98
    ---------------

    a.  Once you have booted up your PC, Windows will auto-
	matically identify the presence of the PC Card and prompt 
	you to install the necessary driver.  Click [Next] to proceed.  

    b.  Windows will notify you that it is unable to locate the 
	driver and will ask you to specify where the driver is 
	located.  Click [Other Locations] to select the drivers location.

    c.	This will bring you to the [Select Other Location] screen.
	Click [Browse] to select the drivers location, or enter the
	location where you have extracted the downloaded file.

    d.  You will return to the [Select Other Location] screen. The 
	folder you have selected will now be shown under Location.
	Verify that this is correct and then click [OK].

    e.  Windows will then display a screen indicating that Windows 
	has installed the PC Card drivers. Click [Finish].

    f.  Windows may ask you to insert your original Windows CD-ROM.  
	When prompted, insert your Windows CD-ROM and click [OK].

    g.  Windows will now ask you to restart your computer. Click
	[Yes] to restart.  

	The installation is complete.  For information on using your
	PC with your network, refer to the "Configuring the Network PC
	Card for Windows 95, 98, and ME" section of your User Guide.  

2.  Windows Me
    ----------

    a.	Windows Millennium will automatically identify the Network 
	PC Adapter and prompt you to install the necessary driver.  
	Make sure that [Specify the location of the drivers] is 
	selected and click [Next] to continue.  

    b. 	Check the box next to [Other] and Browse to the location of 
	these drivers.  Click [Next] to continue.

    c.  Windows will begin copying files from the location you 
	specified in the previous step.  Windows may need files from 
	the Windows Millennium CD to complete the installation. If you 
	are prompted to do so, insert your Windows Millennium CD into 
	the CD-ROM drive. In the drop down box, type "d:\win9x" in the 
	box (where "D" is the letter of your CD-ROM drive) and click 
	[OK] to continue.  

    d.  After Windows Millennium copies files from your CD, you will 
	be notified that installation has been completed. Click [Finish]
	to continue.  

    e.  Windows will now ask you to restart your computer. Click [Yes]
	to restart.  

	The installation is complete. For information on using your 
	PC with your network, refer to the "Configuring the Network PC 
	Card for Windows 95, 98, and ME" section of your User Guide.

3.  Windows NT
    ----------

    a.	To begin Select [Start], and then [Settings] to bring up the
	[Control Panel]. Then, double-click on the [Network] icon.  

    b.	To add the Network PC Card, you will want to click the [Adapters] 
	tab and then click [Add] to continue.  

    c.	A list of adapters will appear on the next screen. You will not 
	want to select one of these however, as the file you have 
	downloaded has all of the appropriate drivers. Click [Have Disk]
	to continue.  

    d.  On the [Insert Disk] screen, type the location where you have 
	extracted the downloaded drivers file.  Then, click [OK] to 
	continue.  

    e.  The [Select OEM Option] screen will show two options from which to 
	choose. You will want to highlight [Instant Wireless - Network PC 
	Card] and click [OK] to continue.

    f.  You will now reach the [Resources & Properties] screen. Check 
	with your wireless settings for the information you need. For 
	more information concerning these settings, refer to the 
	"Configuring the Network PC Card for Windows NT" section of your 
	User Guide.  Adjust the settings as are appropriate and click
	[OK].

	The Network PC Card has now been installed. Click [Close] to 
	continue and then restart your computer.  For information on using
	your PC with your network, refer to the "Configuring the Network
	PC Card for Windows NT" section of your User Guide.

4.  Windows 2000
    ------------

    a.	Windows 2000 will automatically identify the Network 
	PC Adapter and prompt you to install the necessary driver.  

    b.  Select [Search for a suitable driver...] and click [Next].  

    c.	Select Specify a location and click [Next].  Enter the location
	where you have extracted these drivers in the drop down box and
	click [OK].

    d.	Windows will now search for the driver.  After Windows 
	acknowledges finding the driver, click [Next].

    e.  The [Digital Signature Not Found] message does not mean that  
	there is a problem. Click [Yes] to continue.

    f.	Windows will now install the driver files. Click [Finish] when
	completed. Windows may prompt you for necessary files from 
	your Windows 2000 CD. Insert your Windows 2000 CD if requested.

	The installation is complete. For information on using your
	PC with your network, refer to the "Configuring the Network PC 
	Card for Windows 2000" section of your User Guide.  



B.)  UPGRADING AN EXISTING DRIVER
     ----------------------------

1.  Windows 95 & 98
    ---------------

    a.  With Windows running, open the [Start Menu], [Settings], [Control 
	Panel]. On the [Control Panel] screen, double click on [Network]. 
	On the [Network Configuration Menu], choose the [Instant Wireless
	PC Card NIC], and click [Delete].  Deleting the NIC may delete
	all network components, so be sure to record the configuration
	settings of the other network components that may be needed when
	the NIC is reinstalled later.  These include the TCP/IP protocol
	stack settings, if present.

    b.	Once you have booted up your PC, Windows will automatically
	identify the presence of the PC Card and prompt you to install the
	necessary driver.  Click [Next] to proceed.  

    c.  Windows will notify you that it is unable to locate the 
	driver and will ask you to specify where the driver is 
	located.  Click [Other Locations] to select the drivers location.

    d.	This will bring you to the [Select Other Location] screen.
	Click [Browse] to select the drivers location, or enter the
	location where you have extracted the downloaded file.

    e.  You will return to the [Select Other Location] screen. The

2.  Windows Me
    ----------

    a.	From the [Control Panel], choose [System].  In the [Device
	Manager], select [Network Adapters].

    b.	Under [Network Adapters], select the [WPC11 Instant Wireless
	PC Card].

    c.	Windows Millennium will automatically identify the Network 
	PC Adapter and prompt you to install the necessary driver.  
	Make sure that [Specify the location of the drivers] is 
	selected and click [Next] to continue.  

    d. 	Check the box next to [Other] and Browse to the location of 
	these drivers.  Click [Next] to continue.

    e.  Windows will begin copying files from the location you 
	specified in the previous step.  Windows may need files from 
	the Windows Millennium CD to complete the installation. If you 
	are prompted to do so, insert your Windows Millennium CD into 
	the CD-ROM drive. In the drop down box, type "d:\win9x" in the 
	box (where "D" is the letter of your CD-ROM drive) and click 
	[OK] to continue.  

    f.  After Windows Millennium copies files from your CD, you will 
	be notified that installation has been completed. Click	[Finish]
	to continue.  

    g.  Windows will now ask you to restart your computer. Click [Yes]
	to restart.  

	The installation is complete. For information on using your 
	PC with your network, refer to the "Configuring the Network PC 
	Card for Windows 95, 98, and ME" section of your User Guide.


3.  Windows NT
    ----------

    a.	To begin, select [Start] and then [Settings] to bring up the
	[Control Panel]. Then, double-click on the [Network] icon.  

    b.	Click the [Adapters] tab.  Select the [Instant Wireless PC Card]
	and then click [Remove] to continue.  Removing the NIC may delete
	all network components, so be sure to record the configuration
	settings of the other network components that may be needed when
	the NIC is reinstalled later.  These include the TCP/IP protocol
	stack settings, if present.

    c.  Next, click [Add].

    d.  A list of adapters will appear on the next screen. You will not 
	want to select one of these, however, as the file you have 
	downloaded has all of the appropriate drivers. Click [Have Disk]
	to continue.  

    e.  On the [Insert Disk] screen, type the location where you have 
	extracted the downloaded drivers file.  Then, click [OK] to
	continue.

4.  Windows 2000
    ------------

    a.	From the [Control Panel], choose [System].  In the 
	[Device	Manager], select [Network Adapters].

    b.	Under [Network Adapters], select the [WPC11 Instant Wireless
	PC Card].

    c.	Click [Remove].  Removing the NIC may delete all network
	components, so be sure to record the configuration settings of
	the other network components that may be needed when the NIC is
	reinstalled later.  These include the TCP/IP protocol stack
	settings, if present.

    d.  If prompted, click [Yes] to reboot your computer.

    e.	Windows 2000 will automatically identify the [Network PC Adapter]
	and prompt you to install the necessary driver.  

    f.  Select [Search for a suitable driver...] and click [Next].  

    g.	Select [Specify a location] and click [Next].  Enter the location
	where you have extracted these drivers in the drop down box and
	click [OK].

    h.	Windows will now search for the driver.  After Windows
	acknowledges finding the driver, click [Next].  

    i.  The [Digital Signature Not Found] message does not mean that there
	is a problem. Click [Yes] to continue.

    j.	Windows will now install the driver files. Click [Finish]
	when completed. Windows may prompt you for necessary files from 
	your Windows 2000 CD. Insert your Windows 2000 CD if requested.
